I was going to suggest cancelling bassoon lessons at £300 per day which is just silly money, and getting perfectly good bassoon lessons after school two evenings a week for about £45 ph. But if you're about to home school, I agree, no need to go in raving at them. Long term, it won't hurt a boy to have a few busy days from time to time. The world over, many children survive on less.

That sounds like a hectic schedule. What I would like to ask here is that is your son okay with such a time-table or he too feels stressed with it? If this doesn't bother him and he is able to cope with it, then your concern should only be how you can comfort him when he is back from his lessons so he gets enough rest and time to refresh himself.
