The subject header says it all. Also, is Kinnect ( + playstation equivalent?) worth it? Do they need a lot of room.

Thanks.

Oh no! I thought a Playstation 3 was an Xbox.

I'm no help, sorry.

We don't have either, but the only reason I'd go for a Playstation 3 is because of The Book of Spells. DD assures me that soon a wii version will be available.

We went for xbox. Carefully taken out of box on 17th September! Kinnect is great and he uses it for sports games. He loves the tennis, fooball and cricket games. We need more for christmas - any suggestions? I usually buy 'used' games as they are so much cheaper.

However we also had much debate over playstation 3 - in the end ds decided.

If you are looking beyond playing games, playstation 3 is better for watching fiilms/tv programmes through subscription services like lovefilm and netflix. We use it every night to work our way through Modern Family. These subscription services are not available on xbox without first taking xbox live subscription. The xbox controller is slightly more intuitive than the playstation controller but, I'm assured, the gaming experience is similar according to DH who has played xbox and ps3 versions of same game franchise.

Neither take up much room and my older DS says that PS3 is better as they are less likely to break down. However there was a problem earlier in the year when PS3 accounts were hacked into :( Also some games are only available on xbox or PS3 so you DC may have a preference because of that. Kinnect seems fun though. We have never used the PS move and since getting his own tv in the summer we don't see the PS3 either as it is hidden away in DS's bedroom.

My son tells me the x box is better for shooting games. Hmmm. (We don't have one!)
