Reading send their emails out at 9:00 am apparently so no staying up required.
or you can check on the website from midnight

Looks like you will have to stay up if they are on the website 9 hours before you get the email Tinkers.

I want to see it in writing asap

Not according to this

http://www.reading.gov.uk/residents/edu ... mber-2012/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I need my sleep, so regardless I won't be looking until the morning. DD is away on a school trip and won't be back until late afternoon on the 1st March anyway.

looks like it has changed - plenty of posts from just after midnight last year with outcomes.

I'll have a quick check when I wake up but am too pooped by the end of the day to even watch the news headlines these days :(

I think plenty of other areas have it at midnight. Or at least try to, then the system crashes...

At least this way when the system crashes they, in theory, have the staff available to put it right straight away.

Hi, stroudydad, I'm counting ... the closer we get, the slower time seems to be going.

Stroudydad, are you sure your dc has a place at gs? I'm not sure dd2 has ... scraped a pass ... if enough ... (mind you, that was the dreaded CEM that you are all so worried about!!!)
Actually, if dd2 can do CEM - so can anyone. Really.

Hi Ginx, we're as sure as you can be in Gloucestershire that she will get a place in the school of her choice. There would have to be a some extraordinary happenings for her not to.. I'm really glad we have four years now before the next (of he actually wants to do the test)..hopefully well know a bit more about CEM by then.

I'm sure your Dd will do brilliantly whichever school she goes to, I am a firm believer that those children with supportive parents will do well in whatever challenges they face.

Oh Readingmum and Tinkers sound so cool - we will see if you can resist when the time comes and the rumours start about how some people think you can still access online :wink: Last time I thought why bother checking when the website is unlikely to come up with results until the morning, but I was still up at midnight. In fact i was checking 2 hours before in case they made a mistake and they came up early!

I too set my phone to alert me to emails but I kept getting Groupon emails so I switched it off and climbed into bed about 3 in the morning. It had been a fruitless vigil of course: the email arrived about 8.45am just as they had said :roll:

I hope to be cooler this year as at least I know he passed and will, God willing, go to one of our choices - but as my kids remind me, I shouldn't be doing cool at my age :D
