The article says it is school playgrounds, but how many schools have swings and slides? The usual high standard of Daily Mail journalism ...

Where we live we have just had a new playground installed, one month on and the children still can't play in it as it has failed it's safety checks. The group that installed it have allowed access and one child broke an arm, to my knowledge they have no insurance.
The council have also built a playground elsewhere in our district this one in a secluded place where the nearest residents objected. This was in a field which has notices to advise you that when it rains the field will be covered in raw sewage. This Winter the ducks mistook that space for a pond.
I think that there may be complaints about these in the future.

Ours has a slide and swinging ropes, as well as a trim trail. :D

P.S. The Daily Mail were not the only paper to report this story, Daily Express too!
