What to do with a dead tree

I`ve got a dead tree stump I can`t afford to have ground out yet, it stands about 5 ft high, we`ve trimmed it back as far as we could and we`ve grown a clematis and honysuckle over it, looks and smells fab......until I can afford to have the stump ground out
