Book advice please

My ds (11, yr 6) is keen to read the Maze Runner and Mortal Instruments series - does anyone know these books and can advise on suitability etc?

He's just finished reading the 3 Divergent books and has recently read Gone series, The Fault in our Stars, Paper Towns, Book Thief among others.

My ds's has read maze runner and mortal instruments, hunger games etc and feels they are fine, so esp if read the divergent books I'd go ahead.

Fab, yes he's read Hunger Games, Divergent and Gone so should be fine. He did cry at the end of the last Divergent book though when the girl died!
