Waitrose are usually keen on local engagement - our nearest one does a charity thing where every month they sponsor three charities and split £1000 between them depending on how customers have voted using green counters you drop in any of three boxes. They might be worth approaching if you have one nearby.

Also estate agents round here donate money (£500?) if a certain number of parents let them put a sign up outside their house with the name of the agent and then underneath something like "... are proud to sponsor the St Mary's School Christmas Fair".

Our local Dominos are always happy to provide free pizza for our events - we then sell it on per slice :D

Our primary PTA used to get one of the local estate agents to put up boards outside the houses of willing parents. However, if your event is at t he end of this month, you may have missed the boat for that one this time. The other thing we found, though, was that the agents were generally only interested in putting up boards in a certain area, so it may be a problem if few pupils actually live in the vicinity of the school.

Unfortunately, one year we also had an agent pull out of the arrangement at very short notice
