Anyone good with computers and word?
My son has to do a piece on Tim Peake along with 100 others in his school. To make it stand out he wanted his text to be in the shape of a rocket!!
Anyone know if this can be done as I have no idea!

Hi,
Not sure if it helps but you can try to the center text button and then keep typing in which ever form you like.

Sounds like a great idea - he would have to vary the length of each line depending on whether the rocket goes wider or narrower.oberoijasleen wrote:Hi,

It felt like I hit rock bottom; suddenly, there was knocking from beneath... (anon.)

Or do it in something like Publisher? (No idea if it would work or how you would shape the spaceship!). Centering it in Word & varying the length of the lines sounds best. I would recommend typing it all in as a normal document and then editing it, rather than messing around with the formatting while typing.
scary mum
Re: Anyone good with computers and word?
I'd google 'rocket shape outline' and then add a text box over the top.
Then centre the text in the text box and alter the length of each line to follow the shape you want.
Good luck

Write it by hand? That would make it stand out, rocket or no rocket.

How about launching it at the teacher on handing in day?

Re: Anyone good with computers and word?
An alternative might be to wrap the text around the rocket rather than in it. He can then draw a rocket using the various shapes available and make them look like one object by filling them.
The link is for PowerPoint but I think word does the same.

Or make a simple model rocket, using the old cardboard core from kitchen roll, and print and stick the words onto it....
