For a bit of light relief, google Fascinating Aida "We're Sorry Scotland". I'll post a link later when I'm not in my phone. (I love some of their stuff, particularly "Cheap Flights", but don't watch if bad language upsets you!).

Decision to be announced tomorrow at 10.00 am in the High Court as to whether the government can invoke article 50 without a vote from Parliament.

The government loses the case in the High Court to invoke article 50 without consulting Parliament. The case will go to the Supreme Court. Its still on a knife edge as to how it will end.

It would be a gripping yarn if it wasn't the country I live in!
Might it be that, "Brexit will be crushed like the toad beneath the farrow." At what point did Boris think that Brexit would be crushed I wonder? Do you think he's some kind of prophet?

Lets wait to see you may be right. The High Court has given leave to go directly to the Supreme Court (the old House of Lords) leapfrogging the Court of Appeal. For the first time I understand there will be an 11 man (woman) bench to hear the Appeal.Stroller wrote:LostInTheShuffle was spot on.quasimodo wrote:https://www.judiciary.gov.uk/judgments/ ... ean-union/

I favour the alternative as expressed in this link.

If the judgement is correct why bother holding referendums at all under the constitution if you are not going to give expression to the will of the people and leave the European Union in the same way we entered its earlier version ?

Not a good result imo... it means that the govt will have to reveal what it wants to negotiate, which is rather like playing poker with your cards showing It is almost like the remainers are determined to make their predictions come true whatever the cost to the country.

I did say it's not over until the morbidly obese Lady sings.
There's a long way to go yet but one is almost certainly true there will be no hard brexit the best they can hope for if a marshmellow Bretix.
I predict a general election.
The Brexiteers wanted the supremacy of the Parliament, that's exactly what this ruling gives.
As the more vociferous quitters say-'get over it'
