Dear Grumpy Old Man - Bad news I'm afraid - our people carrier(peugeot807) actually does 37mph whilst garage courtesy car (peugeot 207) did 32mph!!
Perhaps we should ensure that noboby has an excessively large vehicle - you could have a law which demanded birth certificates for all persons who might use the car and anyone who had no children would be forced to use a moped!
One child would entitle you to a smart car and 2 to a mini!
The scheme could be policed by wardens - we could call them the stasi!

Alternatively we could all mind our own business and have what used to be called a free society!

I have said nothing about 'people carriers' and my comments about inconsiderate car use around the school gates seem completely fair to me.

Perhaps you are one of the inconsiderate few who blocks kerbs and causes inconvenience (and a hazard) to those adults and children who walk to school. That is 'my business'!

Pavements are for people, though, presumably in your case, also for Peugeot drivers!
