My Grandfather had his left hand tied behind him during lessons at boarding school and if he reached for anything with his left hand he was beaten with a stick. He had a really dreadful stutter as an adult which he insisted was because of this. He hated school and used to bunk off and go fishing whenever he could..

I think that left handed children should have any things they need to help them through their schooldays and if they prefer to use special left handed stationery then thats ok with me. I know I will be buying my son a left handed fountain pen before he starts at big school in September as he is not used to writing with one and I think it will help him to write neatly.
Left handers are unique and we should celebrate this :!:
In case you are wondering me and both my children are lefties and proud of it :!:
