My DS's grammar school are starting a new curriculum in Sept- (he will be year 9 having completed key stage 3 in 2 years )the majority of the year will sit 5 GCSE at the end of year 10 -maths,3 sciences,1 language and DT they will complere a further 5 GSCE at the end of year 11 -english,english lit, hist or geog and 2 other choices.
The rest of the time will be spent doing partof the Middle Years International baccalaureate and various other courses in IT,DT and other activities.
I wondered if any other schools out there are doing anything similar and what views people have about changing to a different curriculum.

My DS school seem to be aiming for more "brownie"points on the boys CV when they apply to Uni.

Any views or experinces would be interesting!

thanks Pensby :)
