can anyone elighten me, I have just had my daughter's SAT results, she is year 8 and achieved level 7 is this average or above? The paper was for English and they sit it a year early in her GS (not sure why). Thanks.

HI Scooby,

Expected achievement( nationally) for KS3 SATS taken in Year 9 is Level5/6. Therefore your daughter's level is above expected even tho she has taken the English SATS a year early.

You cannot get higher than level 7 in KS3 English -
