Hi

Has anyone else been watching this programme on BBC Three?

One of the trainee teachers featured seemed to be working such long hours and didn't seem to get any recognition or much assistance from the senior management in managing unruly pupils and their behaviour. Felt sorry for her but I think she needs to be more assertive as her students seemed to be taking advantage of her inexperience.

What does everyone else think?

I haven't watched the programme but there was some discussion about it recently:

Most of the teachers in the schools I work in do 12 hr days, often in just after 7am and there until gone 7pm! Between planning and marking there isn't any down time.
