Sorry to restart this but I am really confused... I have read this thread and none the wiser 
My DS needs a new pair of football/ruby boots having outgrown his and I have forgotten all the advise I read last year. DS hates football and Rugby so just need the cheapest to get him through obligatory Games lessons. Last year I bought some with changeable metal studs which seemed acceptable. My question now is - are the metal studs good for both still or could I go for all plastic for both sports? No idea even after reading this so apologies again and a very simplistic answer would be appreciated! I just want the cheapest possible as they won't be used for anything other than school Games. Thanks for any help and sorry to sound so dumb.
