Recommended apps ?
Hi we are just starting to prepare for the 2015 tests. Can any one recommend any good apps VR & NVR (don't have to be free ones) for her to practice on as it may seem less like work !
Re: Recommended apps ?
Can't recommend any apps, I'm afraid, but tried to make it more fun in the first instance by getting to know the shapes by name in AE workbook 1. Gives all those squiggles identities.
Then did IPS papers 1-10, Bond NVR papers, GL series (both books), Letts, First Past The Post, a few Harrow mocks etc. GL, Letts, FPTP several times. Not timed at first, regular timed papers from the summer.
Also did AE workbook 2 as revision - this had the bonus of a clutch of level 4 and level 5 questions, which are not far off the real thing and which we went over a couple of times.
This workbook really gets at how to answer the questions correctly. Sometimes DS was getting questions right through a combination of guesswork or through the wrong reasoning. Doing this book, which demands an eye for detail, helped correct that.
