I think this is tough, my answer would be.......................... the only 2 objects which have the same letter in their code are (1) and (2) i.e. R, the only thing which connects those two, is that they have a white shape on the top left of the 'H' as you look at it, so R= white shape on the top left, T = no shape and F = black shape, therefore as the required object has no shape it must be 'T' something hence 'a' or 'd'. The second letter is different on all of them and the one thing which is different on all of them is the white shape, I did look at positioning of the other shapes but no clear pattern, but the white shapes are clearly all different - D = white square, B = white diamond, A = white circle, C = white triangle, so code is TB.
