Hi guys. I feel I have come to then end of the Non Verbal Road...

We have completed the following books:

Bonds Asessment Papers up to More Fifth
AE Books 1+2
Stephen McConkeys Learning Together, 1+2
AFN Purple Pack Papers A-D

And now we are starting the NFER 11A-C set.

Whats left to go through? Any recommendations? What is Athey like?

Any info would be apprecitated, Sara.

Sorry I can't give the name of the other site where you could have downloaded few more practice papers. Even tried to dismantle the site name character by character yet forum admin seems to filter them out.

Good luck anyway.

Hi Gilly

I am sorry that you have been "Modded". I have sent you a PM with a brief explanation.

You can retrieve the message by going to the blue line at the bottom of the page - it will say "You have X new messages".

I actually use Bond Papers with my pupils before I do the NFER set. They are quite similar and, if anything, slightly harder. I split them up and do all of one type, then all of the next type etc.. rather than have the child sit them as long papers. By the time you have done this and gone over them, the NFER papers should be quite manageable.

I do the same sort of thing FM, after an Nfer test as a diagnostic tool I then use Bond, EPE CD and anything else I can get my hands on to provide practice in that problem area. I quite often photocopy and cut out the pieces in questions so that we can manipulate them.

Many of my pupils have already bought and done an NfER test as recommended by the school before they come to see me
