Last minute nerves
Hi all
My son sits his NVR tomorow and is worrying about doing well. He is capable of 85% in the practice papers but has become more hit and miss with nerves.
He was much more confident with VR and I know he is more than capable.
Any last minute tips greatly apprieciated.

Hi Angelz,
My son too is not looking forward to the NVR though in reality his scores between VR and NVR are not all that different.
I've just said to him that most grammar schools are full of mainly ordinary fairly bright kids like him and the children in his class. Yes there will be the few really, really brilliant ones, but they are the small minority. The children are all new to NVR this year so no-one knows what the standards will be. From the postings on here there are plenty of our kids who are not totally confident with it. Sounds as if your son is doing as well as most or better.
Tell him even his worst score will probably be OK so just go in and enjoy it as best he can!
