Non-Verbal Reasoning CD Volume 1

Post by WFW1112 »

My DS has been working through the Non-Verbal Reasoning CD. We think the answers are given on the CD for two of the questions are wrong. The questions are No 8 and No 9 for Set A Code Letter Shapes (21). No 8 we think the right answer is E, not C as CD said, and No 9 the right answer we think is C, but CD is A. Has anybody found these as well?

Hi WFW,

The NVR CD download has been sat on my PC all summer, unused.

Just had a quick look and agree with your answers.

The good thing about a download is that it can be updated. :)

My son also got both of these wrong.
But....
Qu8, I would of gone with GS which is answer 'a', not UT given answer 'c'.
Qu9, I would of gone with HQ which is answer 'c', not HF given answer 'a'

Very confused!!!

Any help?

:)

Today I say.

8 A
9 C

Glad I don't earn a living doing these tests. :)

Hello all,

First of all, we are sorry for the errors in the CD. Authors of these questions agree that the answers should be 8. A and 9. C. These questions are updated. To get the updated copy, please click on the download link on the original order confirmation email. Please download and run the setup again, the scores should not be wiped because of the updates.

Thank you for reporting these errors.

Hello.

We are a bit confused on

Blank Squares Set B. Question 8
The answer could be E as well as D. E could be a symmetrical pattern vertically for the whole matrix?

Odd one out. Set A, Question 14
the answer could be B aswell as C.
C because that is the only shape that is not symmetrical?

Just checked these and have to agree.

My son also got both these wrong, giving the answers you suggest. On closer inspection what you say is correct.

Blank Squares, Set B, Q8 Ans would be 'E' as they mirror the shapes adjacent as do the the ones in the boxes above and below.

Odd one out, Set A, Q14 Ans would be 'C' due to no vertical line of symmetry.

Could someone please check.

Thanks

:D
