You have been given some really sound advise from other members on the board.
Our DS transferred two years ago and I had similar worries to you, he was on SA+ but didn't have a statement. He did have transition support - which was a small group of children that were given additional support e.g. what to do if you miss the bus or get lost in school etc.
We went to the school open evening like everyone else but in addition we made appointments to see the SENCO of each school. I think this is really important, as they should be able to assure you about the support they are able to give.
Schools do a handover of SEN children and when my DS transferred he didn't have a statement, but he was still supported extremely well. We have a direct email to the SEN office so issues get sorted really quickly.
I personally think it's about getting your DD to the school that you feel will best suit her needs whether that be a GS or a secondary
