Can anyone give me a list of grammar schools that take boys or are coed that only take pupils based on the highest scores and not catchment? I don't know if its quicker to tell me the ones that have catchment criteria.
Location is not a factor at the moment!

I know that these four are based purely on 11+ scores. The Kent test can be a test of accuracy at this level, the Essex 11+ is hard.
Judd in Tonbridge, Skinners in Tunbridge Wells, KEGS in Chelmsford and Royal in Colchester. What are you up to now TIPSY?

Thanks moving! No decisions yet but it would be foolish to rule out GS given the current climate!

Langley, Herschel, Slough Grammar all take on 11+ score.
St Bernards in Slough does as well.... but is Catholic school and may be merging with another large Catholic (non grammar school) soon.
Herschel is looking at including some catchment criteria at some time.....

And don't forget Queen Mary's in Walsall (boys). Unusual amongst GS in having a CCF.

Sorry Mike
Forgot that one, it was just a bit too far away for us to consider!
