The 'me too' moment: 5'5 & 5/8" in year 7 (and still taking the lead in the waltz), mother 4'11" and father 6'4"...DS, just 11, nearly my height with size 11 (yes, adult ) feet...off the length scale since birth and seemingly destined for 6'7"...they'll stop teasing him then! DD is my height , at 12, has all the hormones and attitude, and can only be described as 'jail bait' when dressed up ...OH has shot-gun licence .

Being tall can be a big pain. My Uncle was 6' 7" and both his sons were taller if anything. The had a house with especially high doors so that they could walk around normally. I remember (from 50 years ago) one of them had almost Edward Cullen looks: so if he were young today he might well rejoice in his height, but I remember back then thinking he was slightly freaky! - Especially standing next to his mum who was barely 5' high.
