I had an email exchange with my local LEA at the end of January, as my personal circumstances had changed and I wanted to know if that would affect the application. During a subsequent telephone conversation the admissions officer strongly implied that we had not got any of our preferred schools. Don't know if it was just a slip of the tongue or if this is actually the case. She refused to tell me when I asked her outright after this. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

I'm in Devon and I know that the LEA completed the allocation of places on Feb 9th. I only know this as I came across a timetable of the admissions process addressed to heads (it came up when I googled to find out more about the new admissions code).

I would imagine that this varies according to the LEA as in Bucks, for example, I believe that appeals were still being heard on this date.
