3.5million younger children affected by "loss of childhood"

I write on behalf of your little kids whose childhood many parents are going to ruin , by entering the education rat race.
Loss of childhood is neglected by some parents putting stress on their children.Some children are put into pressurized education systems , with competition between parents for the highest achievements. Parents meet outside schools to pick up their children, boast about the achievements of their children , thereby increasing competition among children. This happens at a time when the child is developing his mental characteristics to deal with the world .At a very young age of eight , the child is put under severe pressure , his mind is confused and excess strain is put on an undeveloped neural network of a child.
Every child is unique and have their own pace of learning .We as parents need to focus on the well being and happiness of our child .If the child is put through unhappy stressful years of education ,at a pace at which the child is not comfortable with ,the child will develop resentment to education and the onset of depression will begin. If child is put through excessive stress , the child will damage their mental strength development to enjoy a happy normal life .Mental strength is gained by play and enormous amount of playing time is required for child’s neural network development .Once the depression mode sets in , it can lead to major depression and depression can make children suicidal , often leading to an unhappy future. Once depression sets in , the child may be damaged for life. Many unhappy children lie low, bottling up their misery, and the symptoms don't become apparent until the teenage years or at high school, that is ,until depression sets in or reoccurs and becomes difficult to control.
Compare two children , John and Jake both ten years of age ,John goes to a local state school within one mile of home and Jake goes to a grammar school ten miles away. John goes to an average state school ,his friends live locally , and he plays with them every evening and weekends. He enjoys life and looks forward to going to school every day to play with his friends. There is very little home work and which he can cope with easily. Everyday his mind stores memories of happy times , playing and studying in his comfort zone.
Jake travels to school by school bus , and loses two hours of his life every day in the school bus. his friends live 10 miles the other side of school , his distance is between 1 and 20 miles from his friends. He cannot play in the evenings and weekends with his local friends .His school is geared to attaining grades and achievements , home work is plenty and pressure is intense to achieve the exam results. His school offers sports and other activities , but these activities are just cosmetic and are enjoyed by a rare few students. Jake gets one hour homework every day , he is too tired and stressed out in the evenings to play , and he has no local friends available to play with him. The ones he goes to school with are in the same stressed out, loaded with home work and tired mode .Jake has become unhappy with no play and all work. He loses all interest in playing in the evenings of the dark winter. Every day For years his mind collects memories of unhappiness , stress, anxiety , discomfort , loneliness and torment. After 5 years of unhappiness which is stored in his memory , his responses and instincts have changed to those of a depressed unhappy child. Every time there is a new situation , Jake’s memory of last 5 years makes him react negatively and he withdraws socially .Jake’s depression is getting worse , he is withdrawing from his friends, social life , activities and education/work. Jake now spends most of his life sleeping .He gets tired very quickly because his stamina level is low ,he does not play much sports. He avoids discussing his problem and bottles it up for years. The depression is bottled up , until his mind gets back into a depressive/suicidal mood again.
The above depression is manmade , and imposed on our children by our desire to achieve exam results at any price. Don’t let any child become a victim of exams and achievements .If your child is not happy at school , change school or look into the cause of the problem i.e. causes of depression. , and eliminate the cause I e excess pressures and unhappiness.
That was followed by the most in-depth study of primary education for 40 years, which claimed that

engulfed by a wave of "anti-social behaviour, materialism and the cult of celebrity".
A separate report blamed this anti-social behaviour on the Government's rigid system of testing and
its constant drive to meet targets.

Two reports from this Cambridge-based review of primary education – the biggest inquiry into the sector for 40 years – highlighted similar concerns. One revealed a worrying "loss of childhood" among today's youngsters. This, it said, had led to schools being engulfed by a wave of "antisocial behaviour, materialism and the cult of celebrity". The second warned that constant interference by politicians in the primary school timetable with the stress on tests
