Re: Hints and tips for boosting confidence
Thanks Glos mum for bringing this up and thank you Belinda for those helpful tips!
My DS has been going through EXACTLY the same thing and I have run out of comforting words. Now reading your post Belinda I can apply some of those "pearls of wisdom".
I keep saying to myself -"it'll all be over soon".

Re: Hints and tips for boosting confidence
I want to say thank you too . Unfortunately we can't go with the D for all remaining questions tip as my DS is sitting a standard paper.
I've already told him that either way, we are lucky our local comp is extremely good, so he is in a better position than some.

Re: Hints and tips for boosting confidence
Last year I advised my DD to have a go but also circle any vexing Qs on the question paper and come back to them at the end, rather than dwell on any that would upset flow and mood. The reason I said for her to actually fill in a best/educated guess at the time is not to get out of order with question and answer papers although I don't know how much of an issue this is with standard papers vs multiple choice.
Wishing lots of luck.
