My head teacher told me that he didn't receive any paperwork from my son's old school 3 months after he started school, although my son has ASD. Because the lack of educational support he failed his 11+. Shouldn't school share information as impotant as that, or is it down to the parents?

There are rules on what must be sent to a new school and the timescale - see the above link.

The information on SEN pupils is sent but can take a very long time. When I was Senco I often had to ring the old schools and try and get them to speed up the process.
