Hi there

The title says it all. Can the forum please advise if the tests are harder at grammar school.

I was advised by a tutor, who tutors for all types, that the highly sought after Independents, such as St Pauls are supposed to be quite a lot harder than the 11+, but the rest are not. I assume thats the case as they are in it for the money, after all.

I think it depends where you live and what you mean by 11+. In London, it's clear that many children get into leading independents and indeed get scholarships (including North London Collegiate, Habs, City, St Paul's etc) but don't succeed in getting offers from Henrietta Barnett, QE and Latymer. This might be because the tests at independents are slightly different and also involve interviews.
