Hi.
Excuse my ignorance but could anybody please kindly help to explain what my Daughters results actually mean.
Her results are 111/141 and she is apprently in band 7? I guess the result speaks for itself but what does band 7 Mean?
Nick

you will need to say what school or area you are querying as the exams/scores/rules vary massively

Is this for Hurstmere (Bexley)?
"Hurstmere School will admit pupils representing all levels of ability from admission applicants. They will be tested and placed in one of nine bands. There will be 23 places available in bands 2, 3, 4,6, 7, 8 and 24 places available in bands 1, 5, and 9."
And then on distance within each band.

If so it's now the band which is more important than the actual score (Band 7 will be other children with similar scores) - they'll take those living nearest in each band, so the distance will vary slightly from band to band.
