Just hope it's a good plan that he has for taxpayers' money.

Good luck to KCC.
However, if properly executed, they do not need to go co-ed.

How do you mean? Who should be executed?!

The site they are applying for planning permission on is many miles from the nearest girls' and the nearest boys' grammar schools. Even without the issue of needing two schools to have an annex there, or for a school to go co-ed, having the same admission policy would be problematic. When you went to the school you would surely have to take the risk that during your school lifetime you might have to attend school at the opposite site from the one that you really wanted ---- and this whole thing is about Sevenoaks town children not travelling.

The article says Sevenoaks children do not have a choice of state school --- they have Knole Academy and the Trinity Free School if they don't want to travel. If they had a grammar annex too they would have a choice of three schools (if the child could pass the Kent 11plus) in one small town. Pretty impressive!

Not the messenger, of course.
