I don't seem to have any problems.

One way round the problem rather than solving it is to tick "subscribe topic" at the top left which also results in e-mail notifications when someone posts on the thread.

Just an update. The problem is now resolved. The Forum were having problems with hotmail as they were bouncing back the emails.
