Level 6 reading

Post by mystery »

How do I find the old papers? Any books people would recommend which attempt to teach the right skills?

What on earth is level 6 reading? Is this a comprehension thing? Is it English! I'd have thought level 6 reading would come from just reading more challenging texts? (By which I mean books, not your iPhone, lol!!)

There are now 3 past papers. Not sure if this year's is available yet.

Next year is the final year for this test.

Bear in mind these are also the only past papers available to your school to use as mocks for the children next year ...

Yes - I would not advise looking at the most recent paper.

Our children did the available papers and then we analysed them in detail. I took other passages and got the children to write questions for each other. This helped with their confidence, although I'm not expecting m/any level 6s.
