Is the 11 + exam the same throughout the country? I have been told that the Kent exan is easier.

No, the test differs from region to region and is specific to that area, so you can't , for instance, pass the test in Kent and use that pas for a Bucks school. Where are you situated?

It differs from school to school. In our area the format of the exam varies. So you have to do different preparation for each school you are interested in. DG

I was curious after I read a remark from someone living in London that the test was more difficult than the Kent test.

Kent has grammar places for about 25% of the school population. This makes it easier to get a grammar place than an area which has proportionately fewer grammar places.
