Does anyone have a link please to dfe timetable for ks2 tests this year including level 6 maths, reading and spag?

If the school is part of the science sample, when are these tests?

At your school, what do the children do in the non-test time in test week?

See page 4 - it has all the other key dates too.

I didn't think there were any Science sampling test this year; they would be on Friday if there were.

Ah, thank you. That's great.

It also says something about a variation of up to 5 days is possible if a child is ill. So if you were ill the whole week you couldn't sit the Monday or Tuesday tests the following week? 7 days would make more sense!

Is there anything to say how long each test is and if it should be done a.m. Or p.m. Etc? Minimum time between tests?

Wonder how most schools fill the gaps in time between the tests?

Open test timetable for timings ... and there are links to the instructions for each paper.

I understand that the variation is raely used as it would be difficult to keep (and prove) security of content.

Level 3 to 5 are done in the morning - level 6 seems to vary.

Most schools seem to keep the week as 'normal' as possible - some provide breakfasts around here.

Thank you for that link. We have scarcely had any information about ks2 tests etc.

So a school could jam the level 6 papers into the morning where time permitted?

If a child is ill or doesn't show up on the day are they included in the denominator for the percentage calculations and put in at a nominal level ( if so what) or are they just missed out of the results in all respects - so if the child would have got very high grades the average might be lower than it would have been for the school and vice versa?

Most schools do normal lessons in any remainder of the morning and afternoon then? Whatever the timetable would have been on those days?

Our school has a plan which will make playtimes quite different in the week preceding the tests, between the tests so that they are ready to present manifestos to the school the following week and run in a mock election the week after the tests.

Three of mine went through this but we didn't receive any information, it just happened! It will be a normal school week apart from the tests, I would have thought. They will want to keep it fairly low key if they have any sense.

It isn't a normal school week otherwise at ours. They have to write election manifestos between the tests and the preceding week canvas the younger ones during playtimes.

mystery - why aren't they doing the election on 7th May like most schools? It seems a strange thing to add to KS2 test week!

Maybe they left it a bit late? Maybe it's because we are around five years from the last inspection?
