How is everyone doing in the Easter break? Finding it really hard to motivate dd to study :( . Any tips to get some work done please!!

Assuming this is about 11+ revision - as much as it may be tempting to cram in as much revision as possible during the holidays, give your DD a break. We found that 'let's do some work today and have a fun day with no revision tomorrow' worked quite well. Having to think about revision all the time is mentally exhausting and counter-productive, children need some down-time. In fact, we spent most of the Easter break last year just having a break, playing sports, catching up with a cinema and revising very little. :)

Likewise we had a lot of downtime last year over the Easter Break. We snuck some mental maths in the form of DD planning journeys and fuel consumption and she wrote a diary of events so it didn't really feel like work, more stuff she would be doing any normal school holiday.

like we are working one day and having fun for two days.. :) trying to be on the 11+ track.. for this easter break.
had very bad experience that dnt do any work in term hoidays...
