Question on Private Messages

It seems all my PMs are sittings waiting in the ''Outbox' for 3/4 days. Today also I tried to reply couple of messages and they are still in the outbox. Is this normal? Do I need to do anything to send messages or does it need approval please?

It just means that the person you have PMed hasn't opened them yet.

I have 38!
Some members sign up, ask lots of questions by pm and then never sign in again!
Others do not notice their pm unread tally when they sign in. DG

I delete them after a year - clearly the person who contacted me for help has forgotten.

Thank you for the details. Won't be worried if I see PMs sitting in my outbox then. Best to delete after few weeks.
