My daughter who will be in yea 5 this Sept, is good at Maths basic operations but word problems are not her comfort zone. After reading some suggestions from this forum, I asked her yesterday is she would like to come up with some word problems and I will solve them. She was quite excited with the thought of it as she has a chance to correct me.
Here is the first trial Q: (we both had a good laugh)
Charlie's dad has four children. Their names are: Ardian, Berdian and Cerdian. What is the name of the 4th child? I answered 'Derdian'. And we had a good laugh.
I am sure most of you would have answered it correctly unlike me (answering without thinking).
I think these types of encounters build up relation with our children. Thanks for the suggestion specially to Guest55.
