My son scored 315 in his 11+ exam, the waiting list score is 318 and the pass mark for the school is 327. Is it worth submitting an appeal? I have spoken to a pupil who says that some students who have passed drop out when it becomes apparent it is difficult to get to school if they do not live locally and therefore spaces do open up?
Having put in all the hard work we do not want to give up if there are avenues still to be explored, does anyone have any experience of this, any advice would be gratefully received?

You should have a look at the appeals section of this site, there's lots of advice there, and experts who will be able to offer advice if you have particular questions regarding your situation
