Hi, I am just trying to think of which schools to put on application for secondary schools. I will have to put Kent schools and just wondering if it makes sence to put Judd, Skinners etc as it seems too far away. Do you know of anyone who is coommuting to Kent schools from Orpington, Petts wood or Chislehurst area?
Thanks

My first question on EPE was similar - ie anyone travelling to Judd from Maidstone. I can now say that the answer is 'yes'. We've met quite a few people who all live within a few miles of where I live.

I know this reply does not directly answer your question but what I'm trying to say is there is probably more people than you expect.

One way to find out is to go the train station or bus stop to see who gets on the bus/train, and go to the open evenings and ask around. When people knew of our intentions, friends put us in touch with people they knew who were considering the same route.

The above link show a bus from Chislehurst. I only looked at Skinners but you can check diff schools. I think what matters is how reasonable and accessible the commute is. If the commute is straight forward in reasonable time I don't see why not.

Distance comes into it for a tied score so if your ds got a score of 415 and the cut off is 415 then others living closer on 415 would get in before your ds. However, the likelihood is that he would get in from the waiting list.
I hope that makes sense.

Most from Bromley area however do look more towards the Dartford/Wilmington schools or Bexley.
