St Olaves essay part of English Test

Hi all,
Does anyone know if they give a choice of topics in the second part of the English test? I purchased the test on the open day and it doesn't. Most tests give them a range of subjects to choose from.
I don't know if they didn't give us a complete test or if it is just wishful thinking on my behalf!
Also, does anyone know of past subjects given in the tests?

I heard they give two choices for the essay part.My son is also doing the test this friday.

Really? I got this email from them:
"Thank you for your recent enquiry.
There are no choices in the essay part of the English exam in the Entrance Test. Applicants must answer the specific task that they are given.
I hope this information is helpful.

No choice, just one topic expecting dc to write up to 2 pages in 30 mins.

Does St Olaves give a creative writing fictional story-type question, or is it usually a letter or newspaper article or the like? Also, is it ever a continuation of the text used for the comprehension?

Hi, they just give one task. No choice. This year it was to write the continuation to the reading comprehension story. Letters, descriptions and stories have come up in previous years.
