Bigrob - I'm so sorry. I pray that you make good decisions about your school choices and that everything works out for bigrob junior for his best.

Thank you. I also had a nice PM from Eds Mum.

As I said to her I am having a glass of wine to try and get over it.

I am in tears.

Thanks again. Please give me some good news about your DS later.

I am so keeping my fingers crossed for you and childsmile.

I am sure he will do well in life in the end, but after so much expectation (on my part), it is hard to take.

I do not blame the 11+ system at all. I do think it's a shame that all schools aren't good, especially as we put so much money in to them.

Funny how the wine is drying the tears. I think I'll give karate a miss tonight as it wont be safe to drive !!!!

So sorry to hear the news Big Rob.

Your son will be fine - he's got you for his dad and you have his best interests at heart, that's all he needs!

You are more than welcome. That's what we are all here for, each other.

I will try and post some good news, if not we can drown our sorrows together.

I know what you mean about expectations, but if we do not want the best for our DC then we wouldn't be good parents.

Your DS will be fine because he has you to guide him and you really do care.

Leave karate for tonight, he has a big day on the 25th....good luck to him for that. See it's not all bad he is a talented sportsman.

Anyway I am going to leave in a mo so will catch up with you later, try to think of all the positive things that the local comps have to offer, your get there.

Bye for now.

Thanks Snowdrops.

He started Hockey at school last year and plays for an adults team when he can on a Saturday. Not suppsoed to as he's supposed to be 13 before playing for an adults team. It's only the 6ths but in his first game one of the chaps said he'd play for England one day.

So maybe that is the route he'll end up taking.

I'll check in later for any other results. O

One of his friends from his football team passed with 236 so am really happy for him.

Oz, I admire your willpower (I had to peak an re-stick the envelope when dd got her results 2 year ago!)

This year's pass mark is 217, but there will still be an apporoximate 25% pass rate, although not all of those will be offered a Bexley selective school place in March.

Good Luck!
