IGCSE results

Post by moved »

DS got his AS result emailed today and as a bonus the email contained two of his IGCSE results, those from CIE.

There were no details of UMS or similar. We had no idea that we'd get them today.

Now thats annoying, my DS is waiting for a CIE iGCSE result but has to wait until next thursday pm before he can collect it from the school. I didn't realise the school already had the results.

Apparently candidates can log into cie if they have their logins. DS doesn't have one and would like to know his UMS marks.

My dd has just finished yr10, she sat edexcel igcse maths and gcse core science. School have said no yr10 to turn up on thursday for results. They will be given to them their first day back in september.
My ds has just finished yr 11 so will be going in thursday for his results, seems so unfair that dd will have to wait another 2 weeks before she gets hers

That does seem utterly unreasonable. It is such a long wait anyway. DS' school email results, so they have them at 6am. He has had formal results this way every year since Y8. DD has to go to school at an allocated time to collect hers; unfortunately, she doesn't know what time!

Anybody's DC disappointed with IGCSE English Lang?
My DS expected an A but got a B. the brightest boy in their year who got 5 prizes at recent Prizegiving got a C!
One of DS's friends who expected a C got an A !!!
DS got A* for History but the B has kind of overshadowed this and he's not happy despite us telling him he has done well.
I presume he can re-sit in Jan?
