Gosh that is awful to blackmail them in that way.

I'm guessing the school makes up for it in other ways but I do sense some of the more popular schools get away with things that are totally unacceptable because DP are desperate to keep DC there and even if they don't someone else will be chomping at the bit to take up a place :(

Are there any other good 6th forms in your area? It is much more common for pupils to move schools for sixth form nowadays, either because the new school offers subjects the old one doesn't or because the pupil wants a change due to teachers/other pupils.

Do not allow the school to blackmail. There are other options out there. You/ your child needs to do what's best. This is bullying and should not be tolerated. Easier said than done though, unfortunately :cry:
