Re: gcse english tutor
Have you spoken to the school as teachers often put on revision/support classes for those who struggles.
Also look up Mr Bruff on YouTube some great videos on the whole English Lang syllabus plus he goes through the poetry and books for English lit. All free. You can also buy his ebook on Amazon very cheaply. But look at his videos they are very detailed and helpful.

Thank you so much for the kind reply, I will speak to his teacher, as English is my second language so is his, am also confused about the new grading system I thought he might benefit from one to one support, please let me know if you know good one.
Re: gcse english tutor
I doubt that many tutors will be as up-to-speed as schools. The exam boards are sending additional resources only to teachers as they want to keep their market share of GCSE entries.
Re: gcse english tutor
If your child needs extra help, especially due to English being the family's second language then the school may well have extra classes.
If not they may have details of tutors for such circumstances.
It depends if you are just looking for someone to polish for the exams or if there are underlying issues from English being a second language which need to be addressed.
