Well done Mummog and KenR. Very pleased to hear your good news. Thanks for tip on door wedges - hadn't thought of that one for DD1 who is off this autumn. So far her going-away-box consists of three tea towels, a box of 240 PG Tips and some washing tabs!

A bumpy ride but 5 A's were declared and medicine at Leeds accepted. I've learnt a lot from this last year and will be far better informed for the next four. Mostly, however good at music you are ( 3 grade 8's) don't do it for A level the 4 sciences combined are easier! THis has been more than confirmed by child 2. Meanwhile lets enjoy children's success, they do deserve it.

Well done everyone and thanks for your congrats. Unfortunately Belinda, DS would not have any idea what to do with any of the items in your DD's going-away kit. So far he has got himself a bulk box of sherbet and rice paper 'flying saucers' from the cash and carry

A very happy son - off to do BioMed Science at Reading - had one bad module which did away with Warwick - but at least he used his insurance option wisely and is delighted to go to Reading with his best friend doing the same course! They've been celebrating from 2 pm yesterday at various homes......ending at ours with a pig roast on Sunday :)
