Anyone else waiting for their DC's results? DD needs 3A's for Oxford. Tense times.

Yes, my DD needs A* for Cambridge......why oh why do they insist on A*!
She is only greeting anxious in last day - not long now - luckily has a job interview and work tomorrow so will be busy.....but had our beloved cat put down today which added rather to the emotion at home
Good luck to your DD, I'm sure all will be well x

Please be circumspect about posting results; remember some families will be facing disappointment and uncertainty.
A post to say DC got required grades for firm/insurance is, I think, sufficient.

I like the fact that UCAS will (mostly) update track sooner than the trek to school to collect the results - so the news of whether the DC has been accepted by the Uni is in private.
Thankfully in some cases the DCs are successful despite an A level glitch - and the actual scores on the doors in front of the teachers and colleagues won't matter.

UCAS has already crashed. It's about 10 minutes from my house and you can see the smoke from here...

Thinking of you and your children - all the best. We will be anxiously opening envelopes next year.

As I lay awake in the small hours of this morning, I wondered how many more mothers across the land were doing this, while their other halves slumbered blissfully, perhaps even noisily, beside them.
Best wishes to all, especially those who did not have the news they wanted today. We are very fortunate here; but one of DD's good friends did not do well and has to make alternative arrangements. They are under such a lot of pressure - all we can do is be there to love and support and catch them if it goes wrong.
