Thanks for doing that. Must say I spotted the dc ranked 190 last night and feel disheartened. That dc got 90% and 74%. Would be an excellent result in any other situation.

Thanks cello - the 190 was a decent score, it's like a race, milliseconds in it, that is why I respect the efforts & results of all entrants to this super selective system!
Grammar schools were meant to take the top 25%, so that means 20% of traditional gs ability pupils are being gifted to raise the bar for local secondary schools.

Sorry , those 5:20 % ratio proportions are incorrect for the illustration.
The first ratio should be calculated using 240 gs pupils as a proportion of the total number of eligible secondary school aged pupils in the 2 gs catchment area (which includes sections of neighbouring boroughs).
A further breakdown of figures could be splitting the boys & girls .
