Really interesting.

133.78 is the top mark and only 3 boys out of 881 have a mark in the 130's and only 63 with a mark in the 120's.

It will be interesting to compare these with the Latymer marks which was the same exam.

I know of 12 students with CEM marks in the 130s at DAO so I would expect there to have been around 50.

The DAO cutoff to have your English and Maths papers marked is 115 and there are only 138 boys in this list with a score of 115 and above which would not have been enough to get to Rank 143 which was the last rank to get in last year.

The lowest rank I know of getting a CEM mark of 115 and above this year was 278 which is over twice as high.

As only 338 papers were marked last year I wonder if it reached 300 this year..

We will find out after March. DG

Hi NSH43

By looking at the data posted in the spread sheet there are few issues. i.e
Total number of candidates on the spread sheet is 880 which is different to either 808 (who took exam in school) or 864 (Total number of candidates). This information was provided by children services.
Total number of candidates who scored 104 or above is 386 which is different to 373 which is provided.
I requested the number of candidates who scored 112 or above and was replied with the number 184 which does not match the spread sheet so i was wondering if this spread sheet refers to Woodford county rather than Ilford County.
Thank you all for sharing valuable information and comments, it has been a great help.

Evening all just got some more info from Redbridge re Ilford County ;

Re: Request for information under The Freedom of Information Act 2000 – RFI 111177

Your request for information made on 27 October has now been considered and the information is as follows:

1. How many boys who sat the exam this year attained a scored of over 105?

A: 356

2. What was the score of the last place offered at the school last year period, not on national offer day in March, as your email doesn't clarify this?

Last place offered on 31 August 2016 from the waiting list was to a boy with a score of 106.26

Fahameed;with regards to score list I posted earlier, which I also attained via a freedom of information request was for ilford County Boys (just to clarify), I am not going to apply that much thought or scrutinise them as they are just an indicator. Hope it all helps!!

QE does not have a catchment. They allocate places purely on score.

Shamdurga, This is a thread about CEM results in Essex.

If you have questions about QE then post in Herts and North London.

QE is a non catchment school which means you can apply from anywhere in the UK. DG

The WCHS anonymised results for the exam taken in September 2016 can be found here:

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... 02017.xlsx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

1005 girls took the test
The highest score was 130.09
The 180th girl scored 113.98

The girl ranked 387th is the last that scored the above the 104 mark.

My DD ranked 236- hope that's enough.

As this list includes some candidates from outside of the catchment and some that will choose different schools. So fingers crossed.

Chambers thanks very much for posting these, I'm sure at 236 she will be fine and in offers in March.

You aren't told what percentage your child got.

104 is also just the pass mark and it was girl 386 who got that so not enough to get a place - my DD got 107.57 and is currently 7th on the waiting list so a closer score to what you need. As the population rises it can go up too, 106.5 was enough the previous year.

As a very rough guide my daughter did very little prep but her scores were averaging around 84 percent, she's early in the year so age adjustment works against her score up to 2 percentage points roughly. Tests vary though.
