Hi,

I would like to get some feedback on AE Tution and also recommendation regarding tutors that can help my son prepare for the 11+ exams. Thanks

Genuine recommendations by PM only (private message) are acceptable - but beware of the possibility that someone who appears to be offering a recommendation may have a vested interest! Please let us know if you think anyone is abusing the system by soliciting for business or 'spamming'. (It's easy to report a possible problem: just click on the 'report button' - the red exclamation mark.)

Always treat recommendations from unknown persons with caution. However, there are many long standing members (check the date of joining and number of posts) who make a valuable contribution to the forum. If you receive a recommendation from one of them, it could be worth considering seriously (while still exercising a degree of caution).

If you receive a recommendation from anyone else, please exercise extreme caution!

I recently contacted ae with regards to my grandaughter.

I told them we live in Bucks and the child will be going into Y5 in September.

As I understand it the Bucks tests will be changing, but no-one yet knows what it will change to.

This is the information they sent me.

"A 9-month 11+ course in preparation for 11+ examinations:-
This course covers Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths and basic English, in preparation for the Bucks and Berks 11+ and all other grammar school examinations in the Greater London/Surrey/Kent/ Essex regions for 2013. Year 5 Children – Total Course Fee £2,352."

Oh, and the group size will be 20-24.

At risk of the wrath of the moderators, this seems a bit excessive considering that the content of the test is unkown at present.
