For the 11+, did you:
Pay for a professional tutor? 19%  19%  [ 16 ]
Employ another person, e.g. a student? 2%  2%  [ 2 ]
Prepare/tutor your child yourself? 37%  37%  [ 31 ]
Use a combination of the above? 34%  34%  [ 28 ]
Do no specific preparation for the 11+? 7%  7%  [ 6 ]

Tiredmum suggested that we should have a survey to find out how many people employed a professional tutor, tutored their child themselves, etc.

Although the question is asked in the 11+ survey on the main website, I think it would be interesting to have a mini-survey on here.

You can't unfortunately vote more than once for different children, so I suggest that you post about the child who took the test most recently.

I hope I've managed to cover all the options!

Hi Sally-Anne - there is one other option  - having a child at a private school and leaving it to them!

S-A. Would be great to include how long people are tutoring for? Or do we already have that somwhere on here?

Should the survey not also ask if DC actually got in to a GS?

You can only choose one option in a survey, so it wouldn't work, I'm afraid.

Perhaps another survey is called for!!

The same five questions as above, but with two answers: 1 for getting a grammar place and 2 for not - or maybe a 3rd alternative should be included, indie!!
